hey, looking at some rs125's for a mate tomorow and havnt been near one before. This one has 11000 miles and hasnt had an engine rebuild. Ive found aprilia recommend one every 10000 miles. I kno u can get away without one for watever amount of extra miles, but dont kno wat the case is with this one. Anyone got any tips on wat to look for in the engine sound or when riding it that will give me an idea to the engine condition. And any other problems this bike is known for would be helpful

thanks

The bike will NEED an engine re-build, i wouldnt touch one unless its had a re-build after its 10k mark, you can listen for rattling/nocking noises but they arent always there, bike wont be very fast (i mean it will do about 80-85 if its full power and has engine trouble).

This is all i can really think of.
Hope it helps.

if you can, take someone with you that knows two-strokes, i had one and i hate them now!, really nice bike to ride (niceish anyway) but if you get a bad one.... well lets say i often conviced myself setting fire to it was the best fix lol Laughing ,the wirings horrible, engines need alot of care, not sure on how often for rebuilds il ask my mate that brang mine back to life! Razz ,or someone on here will know no doubt.... ps knocking sounds often the crank
