Forks, rusty pitted forks

If the rust and pits are above the 'run' of the forks will they still pass an MOT

Even if the whole thing is rusty and pitted, providing it isn't leaking oil round the seals, or is so rusty it is structurally unsound, it should pass.

Some, admittedly really old bikes, have no chrome on the stanchions at all, just bare metal.

cool yes, no oil around the seals. just rust and pitty about an inch from the underside of the bottom yoke upwards
