Right well i curently own a bandit 650 and would like to trade it in for a new suzuki intruder vl 800 , the shop where i would do it has a good deal on that bike to, pre reg for £4899.00 but as i got my bike from there nine months ago im sure they can lower that by 200 ish.
the quiestions i want to ask is what do You think of the new bike? i want it becase i ride with pillion a lot and my bandit isnt realy up to it and i just want a cruser bike, so what do you think id get for a mint bandit 07 650, i have a carbon can co exhaust new iridum screen and suzuki topbox mount and box, rear hugger, and heated handlebar grips, bikes in mint condison has new rear tyer too, so what do you think ill get for it, i owe 2700 on 0% apr on it. what you think they would give for it, being trade and they sell another bike ( it has 3.5 k on btw)

Bear in mind that any add-ons to your bike are £0 in any trade-in. If you have the stock can/screen then put it back on and sell yours separately.

Not sure on trade in price but if you can't get the new bike price down see what extras they'll throw in. Heated grips for the cruiser? Maybe some luggage as you said carry pillion so that'd maybe mean a little touring. Maybe also a screen if you want one. You get the idea.

Not a fan to honest, then again im not a big fan of any cruisers. Iv built/rode far to many of them to know how truly bad hey are. pretty gutless, i would take a test ride with a pillion on the back before you buy. grounds clearance is poor so dnt expect go round corners at any rate (no ofence to anyone who owns one) but they are just a bit crap iv seen a few with only couple thousand kilometers and they dnt take will to being used every day. the cheap/fake chrome on everything scratches/cracks really easily once things have been taken on and off a few times.

then again what do i know, if you like it , get it.

i didnt get the new bike the test ride was Terible. Slow heavy Bad reactions from the machine :s it was like going back on a moped :s i wasnt impressed so keeped my bandit done a oil change and new tyer as when i went to part ex they told me my tyre was illgeal :s i didnt know! god. also going to put on a 14touth sprocket onto my bike to make it faster up to speeds,

As map correctly says...put the standard exhaust and screen back onto it. The dealer won't add anything to the value of the bike because it's got aftermarket bits on it...and you can always flog the can and screen on e-bay.

I rode an 800 Intruder not long back. Really comfortable with a fair bit of low end grunt and you don't need to rev them. I found them a bit gutless though as there really wasn't any speed to speak of...I think I touched 105 and that was about as much as it was going to give me.

Still, the whole cruiser ethos isn't about speed so if you are happy and want one and aren't in any particular rush to get anywhere then go get one...you could do a lot worse.
