Last week I rode my bike to work, 4770 miles, 11 countries, 4 speeding fines, 1 police road block, 10 days and plenty of beers, what an experience. Wales to Kazakhstan.

I like it mate! Do you work in Kazakhstan then, thats a bit of a commute Smile.

I'm off to Slovenia on a stag do this weekend and at one point I was thinking of biking it there and back but thought that might be a bad idea......

What did you use to make the googlemap on the homepage with all the symbols?

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

That's an epic trip!

I've recently come back from a Western European trip and have been thinking about heading east next year. Might take some inspiration from you... Rolling Eyes

Long way to work: Reply to questions of Eastern Europe insurance.

The fact is I dug deep and could not find a company that would cover me for all the countries I passed through, the only answer is to pay at the boarder crossing, however argue the price and be carful that they done sell you car insurance, which happened to me twice. The other thing is to have a wedge of ten dollar bills to pay the cop's or they will keep you waiting for hours, average speeding fine (back hander) $20, if you get chased and they cant catch you expect $150. The other thing is at the borders filter to the front and have a a few $$ in your paper work. Rolling Eyes
