I passed my test in Feb after riding a 125 for a year. My mate and I both took the test at the same time, he fail (has retaken it since) but it was actually his idea to go.

He's not decided not to go which is typical. I'll be going my GPZ500 i've done some work on it so at least i know what state its in, but if i find a decent 600-750 i might upgrade.

Maybe we'll pass each other late June

I'll be inn Barcelona until the 8th June then I'll be heading eastwards along the med for the rest of the month.

If you have an indication where you will be in middle to late June, might be able to 'bump' into each other...

Hi, sorry about delay in replying, was not on the site yesterday. Was planning to go for about 2 weeks last week june/1st week july.
Im setting off from york, was looking maybe to get eurotunnel to france, heading towards switzerland and austria. End result ideally Bulgaria but I dont mind if I dont get there - just want to take in as much as I can. Was looking at maybe a different route back leaving from amsterdam and ferrying home. Just to let you know a bit more about me - a young 41 riding an R1 Very Happy Very Happy

I haven't got any set plans to go the MotoGP as my primary reason for going to Barcelona is to meet up with a friend of mine. Depending on my schedule I may grab a ticket, although atm the Assen GP is looking more likely at the end of June...

Hey,
I was planning on touring France Late June with my brother. However he never passed his test and as such the trip was cancelled. Ive got 2 weeks off work starting 16th June to 29 June. However it maybe possible for me to get the first week in July off also.

It would be great if i could join you on a trip to Europe Thumbs Up Not so keen on the idea of touring on my own either.

I would be on a CB500, not quite as fast as an R1!!

Shaun.

Mutty, as long as I get my bike back from the workshop in time, I can tag along also? Would probably only go as far east as Austria, if it helps?

Hi, that sounds great, I dont mind if I dont reach bulgaria - I just want to go with the flow. The only reason I was headed that way is that I bought a property over there and was going to have a look at it. Was also looking at having a day off roading over there but thats just another idea!!!! Where are you from?

Hi, ok - pretty much know whats happening now. Setting off on sat 21st june around lunchtime, getting eurotunnel to calsis (prices approx 24-50 depending on times) from calais heading towards strausberg then saltzberg then budapest then rumania then on to bulgaria stopping obviously averaging approx 300-400 miles a day. This is not set in stone but a rough guide of where im going. If you are still up for it let me know and how to contact you. Cheers, Ian

well just to let you know he's done it. Ian set off on sunday (due to a few last minute hitches!!) and is now in france heading in the direction of austria. Unfortunatly he has ended up going on his own but he can have his own lil adventure, as we speak he is spending the night in a campsite he found with his leathers for a pillow lol Am sure he will have many stories to tell when he gets back Very Happy
