search for tramp oiler (Mr.Zs creation) and scatoiler (ratbikernates creation)

I think i did a thread about a washing up liquid bottle one.

But I suspect a scattoiler would be perfect if you set it up right mate.

Cheers
John

User error, as said when set up correctly you simply can't beat them.

It wasnt user error, it was fucked so it ended up leaking oil from the reservoir which then ended up all over my rear tyre.
Im not paying £70 for a new one when i can make something similar myself for pennies Thumbs Up

That doesn't mean scottoilers are bad. It just means YOUR scottoiler is bad Laughing

To be honest, the "dual-injector" should be a standar bit of kit. I've not got one, but th difference between one side of the hain and the other is mad! I can't even fit one, because of the way my oiler is mounted over the *top* of the swingarm and curved down and around to the side of the sprocket.

The tip is highlighted in white so you can actually see it...

You can buy single items on their website no need to buy a complete new one. Wink

I reckon those Scottoiler wouldn't be difficult to copy. I saw a page on the internet a while back, can't find it now. Someone was using a mechanical machine chain oiler for the chain on his bike.

All you did was pump it up, turned the valve on and set the oil drip to like one every 30 seconds or something. It was good, it was in the tail piece where the tools go, it had to be turned off and on manually though.

my friend made one up out of a model aeroplane fuel tank some 10mm pipe and a small plastic tap so you could turn it off when the bike wasn't moving i.e parked up and in storage worked rather well and it went directly onto the chain and cost not much more that a £5-£10 it was good because all the crap of the road didn't stick to it because it just got chucked off being oil but his chain never rusted

cheers tom
