Hiya folks,

I ordered a replacment upper left fairing for my NSR, its due to be here on wednesday. It looks as tho to get it on the bike, and to take the old one off, I will have to get the rivets out of the screen somehow. Does anyone have any experience or replacing this part, who knows if those rivets can be put back, or am I going to have to buy screws or something, if so do you know where I can get them from? many thanks.

Cougs.

The screen shouldn't be riveted on. It should just have screws or bolts

Mine was riveted, you can get new ones from your dealer for a ridiculous price or buy some little anodised bolts (which you can reuse) to match your bike's colour for half the price from https://www.tastynuts.com

You'd need to ask for a screen kit. If they don't have a specific pack for the NSR I know an RVF kit will fit.

As for getting the old rivets out you can pull them apart with a pair of pliers quite easy.

Mine is rivetted, same as Korns, must be something they did on all the 2001 model NSR's. I had to take my screen off, and I ordered some screen bolts from https://www.busters-accessories.co.uk cost me £3 and arrived the next day Razz
