2002 R6 parts

Hiya all,

I have decided to try ad have a go at putting the 2002 plastics onto my 2000 R6. I reckon the later darker blue and black paint job looks wicked, and I want a spare set of plastics in case I ditch it and want to resell.

Does anybody know where I can get hold of the 2002 plastics etc, and does anyone know if they changed the colour of the tank when the went to the darker blue, also is the 01 dark blue the same as the 02 dark blue?

All R6's are the same blue as far as I'm aware.

Just the 01/02 has black belly pan etc

No the 02 bike is deffo a deeper blue, and I beleive the 01 bike is aswell, the later half of 02 bikes and blue front fairing with silver flashes on the tailpeice, the 01 had white swishes on the tailpeice I beleive, the late 02 is what Im looking to make mine like.

I know the 01 and the 02 models are the exact same colour

and i thought that the 01 was same as 00 and 99, maybe not tho

try ebay for parts or local yamaha dealer if your feeling flush.,
