This was posted on the Hornets nest by Scott

If any of you happen to spot a green Audi registration number R270 XON driven by a guy with long, straggly, dirty blonde hair, can you please PM the details. An address for the driver would be even better.

Also, do yourselves a favour if you see this car being driven. Stay well clear of it. The driver of this car effectively tried to run some of us off the M5 yesterday on the way home from the Swarm. It wasn't a case of "Sorry mate I didn't see you" it was a case of "I see you, I want to be on that piece of road you are occupying and I will have it" He partly undertook me while I was in the fast lane then moved into the fast lane while he was alongside me, screaming and shouting at me to "Fook off" as he tried to push me into the central reservation. He then proceeded to tailgate Bill from less than a foot behind until Bill moved over. As the rest of the group moved back into the middle lane he drove past them screaming and gesticulating that they were all @#%$. From the viewpoint that none of us had done anything to upset this guy other than riding motorbikes along the road, I feel that he obviously has a major problem with bikes and/or bikers and needs help. I am still debating whether to pass his details on to the Police and whether it would be worth it.

So, as I said earlier, if anyone spots the green Audi registration number R270 XON can you PM me the details.

Also, can you post the details of the car on any other bike forums you use so they can be aware of the driver's attitude to bikes.

But as you search for the info on the car and licence we get

The vehicle details for R270 XON are:

Date of Liability 01 03 2009
Date of First Registration 18 02 1998
Year of Manufacture 1998
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1905CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour RED

So beware the car was definitely a green Audi 1.9tdi not a Peugot.

I now see what you mean by the Peugeot comment...

IMO worth telling the police as at worst a criminal running around with fake plates and at best a personal reg transfer not gone through the system yet.

I'd tell the police. Worst thing that'll happen is they'll tell you not to waste their time - but by letting them know, if they do do something you could maybe prevent an accident from happening.

I'd report it too.

If this silly man was involved in an accident at least you would have given the police some indication of how dangerous a driver he was.

I reported a f*ckwit driver in Southsea a couple of years ago who overtook me as I slowed at a zebra crossing to allow pedestrians to cross (including a mum with a tiny baby in a pram).
He nearly took out the people as he accelerated past.

I was so pissed off that I kept shouting his numberplate to myself until I could pull over & phone Hampshire Police on my mobile.
The police took the car details, but couldn't do anything as I 'was the only witness and no injuries have occurred'.
(I hadn't driven back to the scene & taken names etc of the human skittles unfortunately)

They did take the details for future reference though. Which I took to mean that if he killed someone further down the seafront they would have a record of how the vehicle was being driven a few moments earlier.

As it's a long stretch of road, which bit of the M5 was it?

Oh yeah, forgot that bit Laughing

I thought the police were supposed to be shit hot with all this ANPR business now, how someone can get away with doing that (especially on the motorway) amazes me.

Ahhh, the busybody site Laughing Haven't seen that posted for a while.

Do a search on 'motorbike' and see some of the dull retards claiming that filtering is 'queue-jumping/dangerous driving'. Rolling Eyes

ANPR doesn't tell the police of a cloned car unless the original car has a fault, such as no tax/insurance, and then they will only find out when they pull the car over and it will (in this case) come back as a red peugot rather than a green audi that they have pulled
