The girlfriends '97 YB100 is blowing slightly at the join between the header and the silencer. It's not enough to bother about but probably enough to fail the MOT on.

It's the same as the FS series mopeds but the Haynes manual is pretty thin on details like this. The Yamaha dealer is typically surly and unhelpful. Mind you, I'm probably just being unreasonable asking him to take the parts fische out of the box right next to him and put it in the reader right behind him Rolling Eyes .

I'm going over to get it ready for the MOT next weekend and I'll need to take any relevant parts with me.

Question is, does it take a gasket between the header and silencer? Like my H100 takes one of those tube-shaped fibre gaskets (see picture). If it does, I'll order a new one. If not, I'll bodge something using exhaust bandage and silicone/RTV.
