i need to replace the brake calliper on my bike but don't want to pay the price honda have quoted me due to the bike being a custom, can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative.

I have the same problem (no need to say which bike), but have you seen that indiana jones film where they're racing though some old tracks on a mine cart then the end of the line approaches? Got my braking schemes from there. Thumbs Up
