is this worth looking at or not? i bought superbike the other day and according to this SHARP rating you can spend £60 and get a 5 star helmet or £450 on a 3 star helmet (obviously there are others but these 2 stand out) which seems a bit daft to me. is one of the safest lids on the market also one of the cheapest?

Spend as much as you feel comfortable with, remember you aren't just paying more for safety, you're also paying for better visors, vents, linings, padding, and fancy graphics. If you aren't comfortable with a £60 lid then don't buy it.

Buy the best fit!!

The stuff I've said about above is know as passive safety I think, it means because you aren't being distracted by crap visors or poor venting etc. you're less likely to crash in the first place.
