 |
|
Hi,
Been offered a 1991 RD350, but wanted to check if it was Brazilian or Japanese made. How do I go about this?
IIRC many people have said that the Brazilian were of lower build quality, is this true? Is there much difference between the two?
Thanks for your time,

This one has a singular headlight and is unfaired at present but it has been restored so may have worn twin headlights and a fairing in the past. ____________________ R.I.P. Tareree Shiimi, 1985-2008 |

jack,
i've owned both and the brazillian isn't as bad as people make it out to be,yes some of the fixings and fastenings are poor quality but i'm fairly sure that engines and most of the other cycle part were made in japan and just shipped across for assembly, they are restricted for the poor quality brazillian feul but easily de-restricted by removing the washers in the exhaust and rejetting(the correct jets are written in the haynes manual ).
frame and engine numbers will most likley start with 4ce if its an r model |
