Hi All, just like to introduce myself, as I am new on here though I have been riding for 23 years, Just a quick note to let you all know that there is a planned fuel protest on saturday 19th july 2008 we're meeting at the M56/M6 lymm services for the journey down the 56 onto princess parkway, onto mancunian way then into the city centre. all bikes, trikes, scoots are welcome as there is also cars, lorrys, caravans coming. I did the bike protest the other month which was a great turn out and nice to see us all together and even though we got slated by some, we still got noticed there is going to be a piece in the M.E.N, bbc news are going to be there so i'm told, for more info please go to www.britainsrevolting.co.uk |

A protest run through manchester on a saturday?
Surely a week day would be more effectively noticed? |

Hi, I know. I didn't organise it, but manchester on a saturday can be quite busy! I read about it in the newspaper, there are 10 planned protests for sat, one being in london where there is a petition going to downing street, my misses ( mad mare she is ) has printed off 3 A4 sheets with the date, time and meet and stuck em in her car so other drivers / Bikers see them. check the website I added before for more info, if anyone can make it great, the more the better, something must be working as they've froze the planned 2p hike until next april so maybe some one is listening after all |

I wouldn't class holding back on a 2p rise "working" to be honest. I would expect a rise to be forgotten altogether at least before I myself would feel things were working.
But then again I am one who would consider the houses of parliament exploding with all the fraudulent thieving gits inside as 'progress' |

Unfortunately the weather looks horrid all day tomorrow - not at all fun to be bimbling along at 20mph on a bike for a couple of hours. Otherwise I would have been up for it. ____________________ Current: Ducati Panigale R / Ducati Streetfighter S / Suzuki GSX-R1000 L5 |
