£5.69 minimum wage fro over 25 I think? I get that wage has a lifeguard... but they can't pay less as that would be age discrimination. Lifeguards at the age of 16 do the same job as lifeguards at the age of 26.

23 i think. Reason im asking is that im not too happy about the current situation. I found out im apparantly only working 7 hours or something as i "apparantly" get a lunch break, when most days im rushed off my feet with no chance for a break.

Sounds like my job, 11.5 hours the other weekend, only got a break of 15 between to parties. But then again I lifeguard on the pool for 30mins and then do the reception for 30mins, so that could be seen as a job.

When I did work experience as an ICT technician our lunch break was normal none existent and we ate while doing the work..

Pretty sure you can only work for so long before by law they have to give you a small break.

Pfft min wage is shite, I earned more money under 18 and until a year or so after that they changed it. I used to get £10 an hour for washing a few dishes in wedding reception venue! and I was 17! Rolling Eyes and free food.

After 6 hours you have to have a 30 min break.
Also if sat at a PC you are supposed to get a 10 min break every 60 mins, but many companies say that if you have to get upto to get prints etc, then you do not, as you are getting natural breaks.
