I agree that the crime and punishment in this country is ridiculous.
I watched a program with that macintyre dude called CCTV cities or something. Some of the things that people were being arrested for were horrendous but nowhere near as shocking as some of the 'punishments'
As I turned of then was some kind of ethnic 'youfs' having an argument in the street. One guy pulled out a kinife and went for someone, only missing because someone pulled him back. He then made attempts at everyone around him, started throwing bottles and then pulled ANOTHER knife and chased someone down the street. Bear in mind this is all on CCTV, the police then turn up. Recover the knives and haul him away to face 'justice'. 'Justice' comprising of a 12 month suspended sentence and a paltry fine.
So it went on, people caught red handed in an alleyway snorting coke. One of them even legged it when confronted and the ended up catching him round the corner. 'Released without charge'.
The best one however was a pisshead who knicked a van delivering newspapers. He was absolutely legless but managed to nick the van and speed away. They caught him from DNA on the can he left behind, hurrar for the police. 'Community service punishment and a £500 fine'.
Funniest and probably least believable was the bloke who pulled up outside a club, threw a load of ptrol over the door and ended up setting the club, himself and the bike on fire. He then managed to put himself out, put his bike out and push it away from the scene all on camera 'never found'
Unbelievable, you can take drugs in the streets and wriggle out of it, do 35 in a 30 and you are definately bummed.

Yep same thing happened to my parents when they called them. Took them 9 hours to arrive at the scene. Our police station is closed most the time now. There isnt even a police car in sight here! Your simply told to call back when its open now. CCTV serves no purpose as there are more and more chavs taking the streets over and no cops around. ____________________ All the breast.

Maybe just maybe the police were busy with more urgent incidents this afternoon.. |
Another story from my town.
One of the top boys round here who used to run the drugs in the area had his door taken off by 3 blokes, they ran inside looking for him but only his gf was in there, they slapped her and sprayed her with cs gas, then threatened to kill her and left the premesis.
I know the 3 blokes that did it, they were being charged with gbh and aggravated burglary, those charges have now been dropped to just burglary.
No gbh and no aggravated, why? Because the police took so long collecting evidence there was no evidence of cs gas left on the clothes she was wearing.
Great, so they'll get what, 12 months for that, out in 6. Justice. |

if they were initially charged with it then they must have had that evidence. CS lasts for bloody ages on clothes unless they are washed to death.. ____________________ Honda NSR125 - Yamaha R6 - Ducati 748 - Suzuki GSXR750K6/GSXR1000K7/GSXR750K8 - Ducati 848 - Honda SP1 - Triumph Daytona 675

the police concentrate more on trying to catch out the usually law abiding citizens...
scummy little shits they dont bother with.
if a scummy little shit breaks into your house and you bash the scummy little shit, you will get in trouble, not the scummy little shit.
the only police that are relatively good is the traffic police.
they only really pull over cars and bikes that scummy little shits drive, with their pointless mods like tinted windows and small plates ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. HOW TO ENSURE A FAST POLICE REPONSE TO YOUR CALL - BY GEORGE PHILLIPS
George Phillips of Marsh Green, Wigan was going up to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.
George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. He phoned the police, who asked 'Is someone in your house?' and he said 'no'. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available. George said, 'Okay,' hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.
'Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot them.' Then he hung up.
Within few minutes three police cars, an Armed Response Unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence and caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George: 'I thought you said that you'd shot them!'
George said, 'I thought you said there was nobody available!' |

Yeah, read this several times before, and it's a great idea in theory. However, obviously you would get in serious trouble. Someone suggested a more realistic way to get a reasonable police response. Rather than saying you have shot them. Tell the police you have a gun and will use it to defend yourself. I've heard they send out a unit quite promptly, and you get in far less trouble than if you got them to send out a whole squad .
Also, I've heard of these awesome alarm pads that set off blank shotgun shells if an intruder steps near them. I know you can buy them in the states, and it seems someone in the UK has them:
