I've managed to blag Saturday-Tuesday off work and fancied doing a bit of touring on the bike..

Initially, i thought 'France'.. even so much that i was seconds away from buying a ticket to Dunkerque (Northern line is the cheapest) but decided against it as my brother cant go, and i dont want to tour in a foreign country alone on a 28 year old Honda Wink Thumbs Up

So im looking for other options, and have started looking at the Lake district (initially the peak district but i fancy going swimming.. can you do that in the Lakes?) Mr. Green

The budgets not huge.. most of it will go on petrol but its only a short trip..
Wink

I'll be taking the cheap option and camping it and the checklist of stuff to take is:

Stuff

Clothes (obviously)
Tent/Equipment(Mallet,Electric Pump,airbed,pillow, etc)
Sleeping Bag
Garmin 250W Nuvi Sat Nav (Just loaded up POI's including Gatsos, Petrol, Campsites & new maps etc)
Cards/Cash
Wash stuff

Equipment on Bike:

Magnetic Tankbag (Oxford Lifetime) With mapholder top for Sat Nav
2 X Hard Honda Panniers
1 X Givi Monokey HUGE Topbox
Fused Cigarette lighter socket

All stuff will be in binliners in the panniers/tankbag as im not 100% sure on the waterproof side of things

If you have any pictures of your bike all done up for touring with tent etc post them up so i get an idea of where to put the tent, sleeping bag, etc etc.

Oh and yes it will be the little cheap tent jobbie, and ill report in how it gets on Wink
