...and I thought it was bloody awesome, props to Ledger who is in my mind no doubt the greatest 'Joker' ever! Bale was also great, a very gritty superhero film, which makes welcome change to the usual upbeat shit, so anyone else watch it? what did you think?

Not watched it yet but did Heath get to the end of the film? thought he died during the making. Or did they do a Brandon Lee with him.

I thought heath ledger was good, not oscar worthy though, even he knew that, why do you think he topped himself.

He appears to have finished the film though, it ended smoothly at least.

As far as I can tell he was there until the end of the film, either that or they used some pretty special CGI... Laughing

Downloaded (cough) and watched it a few weeks ago and keep watching it so it must be pretty good. Think he is the best Batman so far.

Yes its a cam, not great but I couldn't be arsed waiting for a decent screener, they are getting rare nowadays on new films.

Ledger died after filming, from an overdose. There are some suggestions that his preparatory techniques for his film role may have contributed to his mental decline - he sequestered himself in a hotel room alone for some period of time, in order to become more like his character.

I share the sadness of those bemoaning the lack of decent screeners these days - they were commonplace a couple of years ago, but are now only usually available for straight-to-DVD mingers.

ive never really been a massive batman fan.....

...i loved this. i never used to watch comic book films.....but i have done a little more over the year, i guess mainly cos i really liked the spider mans also i really like heroes...(which if you have seen it is amazing and also clearly comic book influenced).

i thought the joker was played immensely by Heath Ledger, really such a fantastic performance.

i thought Christian Bale definately did Batman justice..

and i love to see people like Michael Caine and Morgon Freeman,

all in all a fantastic film. im going to see it again.

Saw it on saturday night, what a film it was!

A film i actually think was worth paying for, best film thats come out in a good few years now. Not too long, not too short and a few funny moments.

10/10 Thumbs Up

Watched it with my lady last night, we both thought it was brilliant and Ledger was as good as the hype suggested lol he must have been good because my missus told me she had nightmares about the joker trying to kill her all night hahahahaha.

Real shame he isnt alive to make another batman film.

Anyone managed to get their hands on a copy that isn't another copy of the cam release by Devise? 4 or 5 different releases and they're all using the same video source which is why they all lick donkey balls. And they've all been nuked. Laughing

Prevail seem to have done the least crap job of cropping and have the best audio source but it's still bollocks. If you want to download this then wait for an R5 or for a screener, they can't be that far away. Smile

I dont usually watch 'superhero' type films, but this one is very very good.
Gritty, slightly dark, and both heath ledger and christian bales performances were 10 out of 10.
Definatley worth the fiver it cost me, and i'd pay to see it again too Thumbs Up

Not a film i'd instantly think of seeing, but on the basis that anybody who has seen it has relayed to me that it is an epic film, I am going to see it at the cinema next Friday.

I think it was terrible the way they made Keith Ledger act with a hair in his mouth all the time. Thumbs Down

He probably died choking on a hairball.

Very, very good film. I actually thought Ledger's habits were a nice piece of acting, I used to know a guy who'd had his right cheek opened from the edge of the mouth to the jaw and he had very similar mannerisms, always forcing his tongue into the scarred cheek and the edge of the mouth. Disturbing to watch until you got used to it (at which point it just looked stupid) but he rarely noticed himself doing it.

Brilliant film. I think batman is a great character, and the first and second batman were decent films. Then they ruined the series with batman and robin, batgirl, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jim Carry. Those films actually made me sick in disgust.

I watched the newer Batman begins and really enjoyed it, Bale does a brilliant job of portraying quite clear emotions through a mask and tends to 'say' quite a lot with just his eyes. So I had high hopes for Batman begins.

In one word, Brilliant. Better than the first in the re-imagining series. It's dark, with great action and a good well paced story. Bale perfecting the Batman. Heath Ledger made the joker his own. The small mannerisms, the voice and just the brilliant screen play. Maybe not worth an Oscar, but definitely one of the best super hero villains ever.

Best film I've seen all year.
