as some may know i recently bought my first proper bike(cbr 600rr) and it had no tax when i got it as the previous owners insurance had ran out and was unable to tax it. I got insured for the bike on thursday hoping to recieve the cover note today which would enable me to tax it and get road bound but the postman bought no joy Crying or Very sad

i am now currently stranded at home with 2 bikes, none of which i can ride as insurance changed over yesterday, so my question is, as i should recieve the covernote on monday when i am supposed to be at work but have had to book the morning off due to no transport Mad can i ride the new bike to the post office to get the road tax sorted like when you go for m.o.t or do i have to find another way to get there?

You can't ride it. What you could do is see if you can tax it online.

Personally I'd take the risk and ride it to the post office.

it takes around 14 days for the insurance policy to be added to the database for some reason so i cant do it online. as for risking it, everytime i do something slightly illegal i get caught and im already in a bit of bother with the fuzz so the risk is not worth it for me,
guess i will have to get me hiking boots on then
