Thought I would say hi and introduce myself.
ok that's done i look forward to joining in the chat.

Ok,
been riding for 9 months, initially just to ease the commute M25 etc...

I did Direct Access and brought an ER-5 to learn (to ride, rather than pass test) and gain confidence on, however 8 months and 5000 miles later, sod that, got me a nice CBR600 FY.
(Had to start bloody insurance from scratch as churchill couldn't get me under the old company with new bike)
So 8 months insurance wasted Mad and no I couldn't have waited the extra 3 months !!!!

only had it 3 weeks, and due to a job change won't be commuting on it, so I need to get out and about on it, (only done about 30 miles so far) Exclamation
I'm hoping you guys (and gals) are going to be helping me Wink .
I don't know any bikers around my area (brother and sister in law in Newcastle !!! although I am doing the easter egg run with Northumberland Bikers in April !!) Laughing
so if there's any meets around the London/Surrey area let me know, would be cool to take my new toy out other than for work.

ok i forgot to mention my age #cough# 32.

Introduction over.
Ready for the newbie flak, bring it on...

/Korn thanks for the invite, look forward to meeting you.

London/Surrey/Berkshire is where it all happens - a lot of the BCF peeps are down here. That lot up north have no idea what goes on. Wink We'll no doubt see you at Boxhill once the weather sorts itself out.

Excellent choice of bike by the way.

Welcome. Quite a few of us in the South.

We can often be found around boxhill (near dorking) on Sundays... though I believe the intention was to have a mess around in an industrial estate in Reading if the weather's nice this sunday: there'll probably be a few going to box anyway... Judging by the forcast storms, it all seems quite unlikley however.

Nah, I'm from the westcountry originally, Plymounth.

moved to London 3 years ago after leaving the Navy, for the IT work.

Just need to earn my millions so I can go back and retire.

Well I'l keep an eye on here to see what happens, but I'm definately up for meeting up with some like minded bikers,
is it mostly 125 (get your tests done!!!!!) riders on here?

Naah, they rarely come out to play with us. Can't think why.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=20584 is most of the Southern Kru twatting about darn sarf. The midlanders are too simple to operate cameras. Razz

Most of us that go to meets have bigger bikes... Don't think I own any 125s now Razz.

This forum is linked to from NSR125.com, so there's a lot of learners around however.

Cool.

I get the feeling now they are desperate for submariners, I can't go anywhere near a recriuting officer without them trying to get me to become an MEO on a submarine.

As a rating in a 'black tin can' you must have had it the worst of everyone!

OM(TSM) sounds like an interesting job though, albeit in a submarine!

There you go, I think those zorsts with the colour scheme make this bike look wicked.
I am of course extremely biased. My 4 year old boy also loves it calls it my \shout #England# bike.
