hi all i have just bought a 07 plate sukido 125 gy crosser and want to now what after market bits i can buy to make it more like a crosser and get more power its a 4-stroke

Erm, there's not many mate.

4 strokes 125cc will only do 80mph tops.

Some will only do 60, an there ain't much tunning kit about for them.

A exhaust and air filter will only improve the sound and maybe low rev torque but it's unlikely you'll notice it.

The advantage your 4 stroke has is reliability asuming it's not another cheep chinese manufactured bike.

I prefer 4 strokes over 2 strokes but i commute everyday an i'm not arsed that a 2 stroke will kick my ass, because on L plates i don't think i'm exsperianced enough. I'll get a fast bike when i pass my test and can control one well enough.

I love when people say 2 strokes are less reliable. I have a warm glow inside me knowing they couldn't be more wrong.

Fortunatly i never said 2 strokes are unreliable i just exspressed that 4 strokes are pretty reliable needing minimum maintenance.

No need to take a dig, I for one respect that if you treat a 2 stroke badly it will blow up, but if you respect the fact it doesn't like being redlined at 100mph for miles on end. It'll be fine.

Also 2 strokes like the RS and mito get ragged to fuck by teenagers, which is why they get a bad name because most of the 2nd hand market is full of badly loved 2 strokes needing a top end rebuild, but the owner can't be arsed to pay for a few new bits so he sells it on.

It then goes boom 2k miles later.

Nothing wrong with 2 strokes if you buy them from new an look after it. but it's not the case most times sadly.

I bought my 01 DT125r 2-smoke that had 2 owners before I got it and its bullet proof Smile. About your 4-stroke crosser mate that looks like a Chinese bike I had a Lifan 125 crosser as my first bike and fell to bits after less than a year plus I don't think there was any after market parts I could have bought for it.

More like a crosser, what are you wanting to do with it? I presume you're not actually wanting to use it for motocross; are you just wanting it to have a number board on the front etc, or are you wanting to make it more suitable for offroad use green laning and such like?

If you want more power the cheapest and easiest thing to do is sell it and get something with more power. Something that's a known brand will be far easier to get after market parts for, ask for parts for a Sukido 125 gy crosser and I'd expect the only answer you'll get is "A what!?!?"

So what are you wanting to do with it once it's more like a crosser? Smile

Trying to get more power out of something that isn't built for power is unwise IMO.

well ive onli got it till after crimbo then going in for my test so i can ride my vfr400 but i just want it to feel more like a crosser i.e maybe a bit more lift for a start?? air fillter or carb??? i want it to do a wheelie iv tried and it lifts but just does not have the power to hold it over a foot lol

I'm no wheelie god but a 125 bike like that might not be able to wheelie off the power etc... You might need to look into all the balancing points etc to keep it up. Have no idea mate. Use Google Smile
