ok just thought i'd get a second opinion on which points to jack my car up on... my seals are so rusty that if i apply any pressure it makes a horrible cracking noise and a load of rust falls off... kinda worrying really Rolling Eyes

ive been jacking it up around the suspension unit.. not directly on the suspension but on solid areas and its fine but i was wondering if theres anywhere else more convenient... maybe its time to get a new car...

sounds like your seals ae fucked.

try putting a flat block of wood between the jack and the car. it will disperse the pressure and not make wreck your car as much

Depends what type of car it is...

I take it you mean sills.... Laughing

If it got a sub frame then use that or as you are doing now. Also if you can use something to help spread the load a bit if the jack only has a small contact point helps.

Front the mounting area for the front wishbones, rear either where the hole is for the original jack or just where the rear jack meets the axle.

IIRC the fiesta has a rear beam. So anywhere on that for the rear.

For the front, Like has been said, Somewhere on the front subframe. Or on the anti roll bar mounts.
