I did the stupidest mistake I can think of, failed only after 10mins. I come out of the test centre turn right go a fair way. Turn right again and see some stupid woman jump onto the zebra crossing. I stop obviously only to be asked to pull over to the side. I left the damn signal on after the turn. So upset at myself now. That is £300 down the drain so far.

Now I am contemplating just riding a 125 for the rest of my life since getting through the test seems to be a distant dream which I will never seem to achieve. Plus there is only one center that will do the new test near my area thats Enfield.

Im too upset to talk now so I am going to go to sleep Sad

I failed 3 times on silly shit before I passed don't get disheartened. The feeling you get when you pass is awesome, it still makes me smile when I think about it.

Oh, bugger! Crying or Very sad

Don't give up though! I took 3 goes because I was crap at U-turns and I still hate turning right (makes for interesting ride outs!)

Keep at it - you'll feel better when you wake up and get another test booked. Doesn't matter if it's the new style test - it really is worth all the effort and heartache.

Chin up - you can do it! Smile

Thanks for the replies guys, its nice to know im not the only one who is spending loads of money (even though its on something i love doing). I guess i will be following the line of "Winners never quit and quitters never win".

Still sad though Sad it will be maybe 3 months before I can have another go at the test, Im scared I may grow up and come to hate biking Smile.

I failed my bike test the first time. I also manged to fail my car test FOUR times. It's very disheartening, but don't start to believe you can't pass - you can, and will.

Just relax, don't think of it as a test, and ride as you would normally. If your riding is up to scratch then you will pass, if not, then do some more riding to hone your skills and try, try again. Thumbs Up

I failed my car test 3 times before i passed and very very nearly gave up but am glad i gave it another shot and eventually passed on the 4th go.

Keep at it!!!!!

Failed my 1st Das test cos i took a bend in a national speed limit too fast and ended up on the wrong side of the road. Lucky nothing was coming the other way. Examiner said after he thought i was going into the field lol. 2nd time i put my foot down on the u turn. Passed on 3rd attempt and was a great feeling.
Im now on my 2nd bike and loving every minute of it.
Keep it up. You can do it!!

If its your bike, fit a buzzer into the indicators from Maplin electronics or something, that way you will hear the noise and remember the indicator!

Oh and yes, you will be a muppet with an indicator buzzer, but at least you'll have a full licence 40 minutes later Wink

There is an awful lot of us on here that failed first time - I got it on my third.

Take heart, the passion for it can sometimes blow it up into a huge thing which can turn you into a bit of a mess on the day, you WILL get it .....

I did it 2nd Time! First failed cause of U-turn on ER5 in 3rd gear (don't go there) then did it on a CG 2nd Time for A2 license. Dude it feels so hard trying to get the license but when you park up your 125 beside the other 125s with L plates and your girlfriend gets off the back of your bike - seriously best feeling ever. Worth every penny! Very Happy

No way should you give up...i failed my first go at the DAS for the same reason. I left my indicator on after merging with traffic on a dual carriageway A road. I just went back after the requisite cooling off period did it again and passed inspite of not following the examiners directions 3 times!
