Just received a letter of behalf of the organisers of Rock n Blues, from an insolvency company.

Basically, it's saying ticket holders for the failed festival have to claim there money back from either paypal, or credit card, or fill in some Proof of Debt form which will take forever to process!!

Paypal won't do it (over 45 days or whatever), I personally used bank funds so credit card not applicable.

WTF is their problem? They took all our money and then lied to us about the licence, an now they are making it difficult for us to get it back!!

Not happy. It's very insulting and a pain in the arse.

Talk about burning your bridges - pissing off all your loyal customers!!

Anyone else know anything more on the situation?

What type of bank card do you have ?
Visa or maestro.
Maestro you stuffed.
Visa contact the bank as it should be covered under visa debit rules.

The top and bottom of it is you are a standard creditor (ie they owe you money), thats why they said claim it back from a credit card or paypal because they cover you for non delivery.
If you have to fill in a form it means you will join a massive list of people owed money, if they have any the taxman and the bank get theres first. If there is anything left you may get some, it does not sound promising though.

As said its the legal process - not something the organisers get to opt into or out of.

If you let it get to you too much then the legal authorities that pulled the plug on the show win.

Although if the organisers have had to hand over to an insolvancy company then there is a good chance 1% are so overextended that they may never be able t recover.

Don't let them. Get the proof of debt form and get it in.

Hi everyone, a newbie here. I found this thread via a Google search.

We lost 4x tickets in the RBCS25 fiasco, and got the same letter. Paid by PayPal, which took the money via my bank account DirectDebit.

PayPal are claiming it's not covered by their buyer protection (is anything???), and clearly, I feel filling in the form will be a total waste of my time, as the chances of getting cash back is less than remote.

Just wondering what other people have do so far??

(P.S. Am a biker, Got a Africa Twin, so likely to stick around now I found this site...)

Ask Pay Pal if non recipt of goods is covered, which is what has happened..... You never recived your tickets did you.....

But i think that you will now be out of their timescales to do anything anyway.

Best advice for any purchase over the internet or via mail order is to use a Credt Card....
