full body armor

ive been thinking of buying a set of full uppper body armor and i came across this set on ebay and i would like your views on it please

You'll have difficulty getting it under a decent-fitting leather jacket. Mine used to be hell and was very uncomfortable. Better off just getting a well-armoured jacket and adding a back-protector. Would be good under a textile though.

It would need to be of a good quality to hold together in an off though. £35 off eBay...?

at the mo the jacket im using is a textile type with no armor in it
its the only one i got that keeps me warm when riding

I've used a Knox Fastback Gillet backprotector instead. It's comfortable for long distance and fits under my leathers and my leather and textile jackets. It's meshed but doesn't have the arm and shoulder armour though. It also means that it's more adaptable. They should be on sale for 59.99 (although i cheekily got it for 42 quid!)

I have an expensive Dainese set, If i am going on what i know will be a fast stupid ride it goes under my leather jacket,

If practicing stunting i will usually wear it alone with a hoodie on top, on the basis that any injuries are more likely to be impact related rather than abraision related.

Almost indentical to mine. Mine lasted two years before it started having wearand tear issues - it will start to fail at some point but that kind of money you can't complain.

It does make you look like the incredible bulk with itty bitty tiny legs. Is not supposed to be as good at the sliding down the road shit but it good for impacts and keeping your spine together.

Everytime I have a dip in confidence I wear mine, even now, because it helps. Given the impact when I broke my wrist I am convinced it prevented me having a broken collarbone at the same time.

I like it, and will probably buy another one when this one dies. As for getting it under a leather? I've never had difficulty - it's why they have stretch panels.

iv'e got that one, have yet to use it but trying it on the chest armour is pretty uncomfy, i'd go about cutting the front armour in half as the lower half that covers ur stomach just sticks out.

You get used to it. The bottom half at the front of mine is a kidney belt giving all sorts of support and protection.

After my off this morning I'd say for that price then why the f*ck not. My jacket is pap really but it stopped me from ending up with loads of cuts and that so anything is better than nowt.

thanks for the reasureance thats its a good buy, the main point on this is that you can wear a normal jacket over it and when you get to where ever you are going you can take off the armor and have a normal looking jacket instead of looking like the incredible hulk all day

well the armor came today and it fits spot-on and my instructor thinks its a good piece of kit, he also said that he's going to get some to use when he takes the CBT'er out on the road if they havent got a armored coat

do you think that cheap kits as good as the stuff alpinestar and knox offer, was think about getting one for the summer and ped (leathers on a ped look wrong! textiles are to hot in the summer)
