Like it says. My bike was stolen Sunday afternoon in London.
Being the slightly rarer Blue & Orange S model, I would appreciate it if anyone spots anything in parts or 2nd-hand bike sales.
It had a (very) high Renazco seat, BlackDog Cycleworks Bash Plate and Hilslamer LongPegs.
Shitty end to what was a nice day really...
To some extent, I feel like a chump - I managed to tick most of the boxes in "how to get your bike stolen" - no chain, no alarm, London. The galling thing is I am normally very anal about it - I chain it up religiously or I don't let it out of my sight. This afternoon, I was visiting friends - a bit of a lapse of my security regime - took their kids to the park... came back and it was gone.
Kinda screws my plans for Portugal at the end of the month...
UPDATE 1: It was datatool tagged - by the first owner - but the subscription lapsed before I bought it. Anyone know much about how datatool tagging works?
UPDATE 2: FWIW, it was taken from N1 4BT
UPDATE 3: Full list of distinguishing features after the photos
This is what she looked like....

List of distinguishing features/mods are:
Dint in front header pipe - visible from the front (from before I bought it)
Renazco suede rally seat (2.5inch raise)
Hilslamer LongPegs
BDCW Bash Plate
TT rear brake guard
TT Folding rear brake pedal
Katoum luggage rack
Oxford Grips with temp control attached to right handguard
Green Datatool Tagging sticker on the RHS of the Oil Tank. Many of the parts/panels have been Datatool Tagged.
Rear Luggage Racks
Black Zip-tie on the left hand fork (to keep track of stroke utilisation on my newly tuned suspension)
Superplush suspension stickers on the forks and shock
Paintwork in pretty good order - apart from some flaking on the corners of the fairings near the dash
Sorry if this was posted in the wrong forum. Havent been here in a while...
Any advice welcome

Mate I'm from south east London (Newham/Stratford) but if i do happen to see a bike like that, i will let you know. I hope you find it, only a couple of days ago one of my friends bike got stolen, well they dragged it away to the park and ruined it only to be found by the chain markings left on the floor.
Good luck! ____________________ Current Bike: CBR125 ---> Written off Theory Test Passed: ---> 8/04/08 ---> A2 Test Booked:8/05/08 - Failed to turn up (had an accident and broke my leg in 3 places!) |

I'd contact whoever the tagging system was with (was it not Datatag?). They will then be able to flag the bike up as stolen and any parts found with the numbers etched will be traceable via the police. Hope it gets returned. |

Gutted To be honest being a big tourer I don't think that's the kind of thing kids would take to rag around.
I really hope you get it back. |

The emerging theory is that its parked up somewhere - probably waiting to be used in a robbery of some description. Sadly, it would make a pretty good getaway vehicle - but the rider is going to have to be f-in tall |

Well, I have logged up some 15 hours riding around the local area & council estates after work on the XR. Nothing...
Speaking to another guy whose Adv was stolen quite close to where mine was nicked from, his was found on a regular street ... with a lock on! The chavs 'store' them for later use. This can either be in some corner of an estate - or somewhere where a parked bike wouldnt look out of the ordinary - like a bike parking bay.
If its parked on the street, should stand out...
A mate of mine at Addison Lee has put the word out amongst the drivers/riders. Hopefully, someone will spot it... |
