Nothing whatsoever Laughing

I'm not going anyway - well, I don't think so. Got no immediate plans to do so. But then ... who knows. I'm famous for popping up somewhere when least expected Mr. Green

Looks like I might not be going after all now, my mate has had a blowout meaning he can't afford a ticket, so I got nobody to go with except work, which I don't want to do at all.

Every day is beer day for me! Normally have a day walking around Stratford, apart from that I'll be in the beer tent.
Has anyone ever tried the Adult tent?

The amount of police on the road leading up to the airfield was shocking. Absolute waste of time and money!
It was a good Bash though, shame about the weather

Was hoping to pop in for Saturday Night, but got a puncture while still in Scotland, so ended up driving back in a Fiesta from the recovery company; was pretty knackered by then and it was late enough to have missed everything, so stuck a tent in a field and carried on home today instead.

Amount of police was absurd, passed them in truck when joining the M40 from A46, counted about 8 vans, 8 cars and several bikes, mostly sitting in laybys. Then on the M40 it was gridlock for about 5miles southbound, ANPR on bridge, don't know if the gridlock was due to police doing something on the motorway, but the HATOs and police had coned off lane 1 for a long stretch with nothing there.

The bit they coned off was where Gerry was shot last year, they coned it off to allow some of the HA to stop there to pay respects and lay some flowers or so I was told.

Hmmm, it may be true but I cannot personally see that happening. Why would HA officers want to lay flowers and pay respects? How many people die on the roads every week, they don't cone off motorways and cause 5mile tailbacks to let people lay flowers.

There was also no flowers that I saw, just an empty coned off lane, I'd of said it was more probably a truck breakdown that'd gone by the time I got there or they'd been pulling people on the motorway for checks (they had stop checks on every route in and out of the area apparently) but I've never heard of stopchecks on a motorway.

They were also stopping HGVs/LGV's (Class1 & 2) traders on the way out Sunday aft, checking tax etc.

Hardly what they said the police prescence was supposed to be about, just trying to make themselves 'useful' Rolling Eyes

I counted EIGHT cop bikes passed me on the way in Friday lunchtime, talk about overkill. Mongs.

Also not impressed with HA organisers, between them and the liars at Rock and Blues, my opinon of '1%-ers' has been firmly set in the negative this year. Thumbs Down

I'll stick to MAG and local rallies from now on.

FLC kicked ass Friday night, however. Cool

Police were pointing at me whilst I was riding along, I didn't get pulled, however my bro did 'cause it got flagged up uninsured. That's clever, seeing as he taxed it the day before leaving...

Oh and if anyone wondered what all the ambulances were about on Sun morning, that was my good mate stu, who fell over in the mud and broke his ankle! Ironic, he was going up the strip with me on his ZX10R the day before he slips up and breaks it in the mud. Told him bikes are dangerous. Laughing
