Looks like you should get just over £1000 as a trade in, but the figures on Parker's may not be the latest. The dealer will have his own book and offer you a figure based on that, considering mileage condition, history etc.
What you should look at is the "price to change" as this allows for any discount on the new bike. If you are comparing dealers this is the figure you compare, not what they'll give you for your trade in.
It's worth trying to sell privately in the meantime. If you do you can walk in with cash and get a better deal. Kawasaki normally have something on new bikes so discounts are available, even at this time of year. If you wait till winter you'll get a better deal.
If you do end up trading in, set youreslf a figure to change and aim for that with haggling. Sometimes it's easier for dealers to discount extras like hugger, crash bungs, servicing.
Someone who's just bought an Er6n may be able to add more.

Sell it privately.
Part ex it and they'll give you a low price, then sell it on to someone else for more than you'd be able to sell it for privately. No idea on prices, have a look through Bike Trader and MCN to get an idea of what similar ones are advertised for.
Only advantage to part ex is you ride to the shop on your old bike then ride home on your new one, no messing around with bike trader/mcn/ebay. Depends entirely on your situation if that convenience means you're willing to accept a very low price for your old bike. |
