Just wondering of your own experiences etc. i know that cars such as honda etc are tough as they come and fiat's are bad but i am not that sure about bikes when i think about it. so any tips of good brands to bad in an order or bike names aswell will be great
the reason why i want to know is because after seeing someone's beautiful kwak 636 bih in black, and have my eyes set on one, one day... the only thing is, i saw a clip of this comedic hitler thing about bikes and it referred to a kwak as a pile of rust i believe (i know this is a comedy clip but it got me thinking). i assumed jap bikes are reliable but now i am not so sure now. even though i have a rs 125, i don't want a bike that will cost me a fortune in costs when i move on. cheers
my input on the aprilia rs 125. it's a sweet 125 sports but i have folked out a fortune on servicing since it is a bike that needs to be maintained. i have replaced spokes, chains, speedo and various small bits due to wear and tear. i binned it once and it cost a lot for the fairing, headlights etc... so my advice is don't rag it too much but you can do in modesty and do not crash unless you have at least a few hundred! ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

There is good and bad in all makes.
In general. I've found Hondas to use slightly better quality materials and fittings.
I personally think the budget end of the suzuki range is pretty dire when it comes to materials quality and finish. (SV, Bandit etc)
That said. They are all a pile of poo. If they made cars like they make motorbikes, all cars would be dead of corrosion within 3 years. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
