i cant imagine it would be feesable in the slightest.

its by no means as simple as getting an old engine casing etc.

Retro fit a whole old engine would do it i guess. Other than that i would say that the internals will not be set up for a kick start.

Unless they've changed the DT engine it is pretty much this simple.

Well, on the kick-start side, there is a small kick-start shaft sized screw-in cap Confused , but with it being so new, i didn't wanna go opening her up to find it ain't gonna mesh with a gear inside Crying or Very sad . I'm just trying to avoid the local yam dealer (£££s) Thanks for your replies Thumbs Up

Exactly! No crosser is complete without one. Cool I'm tempted to get the mech and risk it.

Hmm Mattsprattuk disagrees with me.

1988 bike with kickstart.

2007 bike without.

Complete with block off plug for the kickstart.

So as Blue said unless the crank cases have changed which is unlikely as they use the same gasket set, yep I sell them, it's as easy as I said.

Now go away and stop making comments about things you don't understand.

how costly is this to do on an XT600E? , the side casing it indentical to the 3AJ as its plugged off but still says kick starter on the side.

Somebody in Germany has done it but I can't read german.
