hello just bit more about the bike its a 2 stroke and its air cooled , by fuel going through , there is fuel in the fuel filter , just a question , with the battery being flat , will the fuel pump be able to pump fuel round to the engine to allow the engine to run ? as i know the battery is flat as the electric start is slow and sluggish and sounds like like a car would , with a flat battery.
the person i brought it from claims it was running when it came out of the bike.
i know it has compression , but only know this by the sound of it , could it loose compression while being transported around and re-fitted into a new moped ?
ignition timing , do 50cc mopeds have ignition timing , i never knew they did , how does this work ? |

Did you prime the pipes when putting it all back together? If not u'll have to either keep kicking until fuel reaches there, or suck the fuel pipe going from the tank to the carb - beware not to swallow any.
If it doesn't flow through, there might be a blockage.
If fuel is getting there and its still not starting, making sure the plug is getting a big enough spark (the battery MUST be charged fully in order to give a big enough spark), add some nitro methane straight into the head - only used a small amount as its VERY explosive. Use with care and good luck
After effects are a small smell and a will puff a little more than usual until it has all burnt out. ____________________ Current Bikes: 1990 RXS100, 1988 RXS100, 2002 NRG MC3, 1988 JOG CG50E

Where did you put the fuel? That must mean there is fuel starvation... Did it die after it burn't the fuel?
Hmm - Is there a pump on your model? If yes there could be a problem with it, make sure its pumping and also getting power (you may have left a connector off? If you want to check it get a multimeter and check for continuity... If its getting power and still not working, its bugger'd.) ____________________ Current Bikes: 1990 RXS100, 1988 RXS100, 2002 NRG MC3, 1988 JOG CG50E

Just checked your picture - was thinking if it was either a fuel pump or a filter.. but looks like the little black in-line box is the filter, and that is your pump - am i right?
If it is, remove the oulet pipe and crank the engine over.. fuel should come out (make sure you have a bucket or even a funnel over the fuel tank (prices of fuel these days ____________________ Current Bikes: 1990 RXS100, 1988 RXS100, 2002 NRG MC3, 1988 JOG CG50E

just been told this isnt actually a pump its a fuel valve which lets pressure through , as my fuel system is pressurised , yes it died after it had burnt the fuel laying in the head of the engine by the spark plug at least i can say my engine i brought for it , is fine. |
