Garage Problem

I took my car a 51 plate zafira to Vauxhall to have the powersender replaced, the alarm was beeping 4 times when you turned the ignition off and the documention said this indicated the power sender battery was going flat and needed replacing.

£190 later I pick up my car, drive home, turn off the ignition and there was no beeping. 15 mins later the alarm goes off, i reset it and 15 mins later the alarm goes off again, and again and again and again.

Ive phoned vauxhall who have said take it back but if it isnt the powersender then they will charge for any repairs.

Not sure where I stand here, I went in with an annoying beep and £200 later I dont have an alarm and central locking anymore.

Did you state that you wanted the powersender replacing or did the garage diagnose it?

If the garage diagnosed it wrong you shouldnt be charged for work allready done as the problem has got worse not better.

If you asked for the powersender to be replaced and the new issue is unrelated then the garage can come back and say they just replaced parts as instructed.

We requested the powersender be replaced, but did not have a problem with the alarm until that had been done.
