I find, just put the whole thing to one side for a few hours, have a drink, then whack it with a branch like Basil Fawlty.

No way, you can't burn it, that's admitting defeat, just imagine the feeling when you fix it..

'Right, that's it! I've told you once! Now I'm gonna give you a bloody good THRASHING!'

I used to tap my petrol tank while sitting on the bike if I couldn't get it to start, I found that it helped me to think about the problem hehe. Thumbs Up Laughing

I think it's L cos it's 88/89, i will get it working, it's just such a long way from getting an MOT, luckily the electrics aren't completely buggered as originally thought, but it's still being a pain in the rectum. i took this bike on cos i felt sorry for it, that it'd want fixing, but it seems it just wants to die in peace. i'll pick up some petrol later and try again

Ah it's not all fun and games after you qualify and thay let you loose on other peoples bikes! I used to work as a spannerman in Haslemere and allthough it's awseome to ride other peoples bikes (compulsory)..bikes that i won't be able to insure until all my hair goes grey and falls out, (though that may not be too long if i keep riding like i do in this weather!)but it's not so cool if you make a mistake and realise it could cost a life, but hey on the bright side it'll be quick and they'll never know it was you. (joking) Nah, it never happens (hopefully). It really is fun. (except for hunting electrical probs! he he) Good luck! Mr. Green
