This board seems to have a good mix of old(er!) riders and new and I'm interested to see who started where in the wonderful world of two wheels.

Me:

Suzuki GS125, 86 C plate, £400!

I started off-road when I was 6. I had a Honda 50R monkey bike. Was great fun, although I didn't ride that much when I was that age.

I really started getting into it when I was 11. Still had the monkey bike but started wheelying and jumping things. A so-called 'friend' crashed it a few months after I had got into it in a big way, I was gutted.

Luckily, my uncle was at hand to give me a Honda CD200 'Benly' which he found dumped near his house. It was/is a twin cylinder 4-stroke road bike that I rode for a few years. Taught a few people to ride on that bike too.

Since then I have lost count of the different bikes that I have owned and rode. My latest bike is a road legal DT125 which I have just finished working on at last. Thumbs Up Smile

Only started about a year and a half ago, rode this beastie (cg125) for 9 months, took me 200miles to skeg and back, another 230 miles to leeds festival and back, and a few thousand miles allover the place in all weathers, i really regret having to sell it but thats just how it goes i guess Sad
After ridding 9months i did my direct access and now ride a bike thats 8 years older weights 230KG (dry, god knows what its runing weight is!) and is 5 times as powerfull Laughing Twisted Evil Mwahahahaha!

Started in 1974 with an unrestricted Yamaha FS1E and then went to a Honda CD175 before taking my test on a Yamaha RD250.

Passed my test at 17 went straight onto a Suzuki GT380 Triple and that was the last two stroke I ever owned! Very Happy

My first bike on the road was a Honda MT5(0) before the days of needing a CBT (showing my age!).

First 'big' bike is the Yamaha Fazer (600) I have just got.

First bike ever, was a Honda C50 for thrashing round the garden! Very Happy Wink

Started of on a cursed KH125 that would never go above 55mph. Evil or Very Mad

Got fed up of it and bought a shinny nsr, had it for a year.

Then got bored of that and got a GPz550. Which is fun, when it works. Smile
