thats right ...if you havent heard their tickets are 5 quid.....

BUT and this is quite a big but.....you have to be a paying member of their fan club... .anyone a member and want to sell me a ticket?

i think theres a limit on how many you can buy.....

i cant be bothered to sign up for a year....but if anyone happens to be a member id happily pay over the odds for one!

My best mate was begging me to come Crying or Very sad . He was shocked to discover i aint even seen them live - i missed out on them at wembley, i missed out at download when they did the whole of master of puppets, i'm missing out at reading and i'm missing out here cos i aint in the country! Evil or Very Mad

I had a listen to their single whilst it was being played on radio one - they've gone back to their 7 minute anthems now Middle Finger Twisted Evil Middle Finger

o More ticket information will be available soon. Please check back later
o Only MetClub members and Mission: Metallica members can purchase tickets
o Two ticket limit per member
o You must pick up your tickets at the box office on the day of the show
o Tickets are 5 pounds each and all proceeds will be donated to local charities

Tickets aren't on sale yet but info will be available soon - Mission Metallica is the best way in. It's £20 for a full version of the new album delivered to your door and MM membership. So factor in 2 tickets thats £30 total for two tickets to see Metallica.... plus a free copy of the Album

This is a no brainer, and if you think £30 is too steep for 2 gig tickets (ie £15 each ) then you ain't no fan!

Tim

ps: I'm seeing them on Sunday and at Reading and I can't bloody wait! Even though it's my 7th time. Oh and the new track is a grower; Love the start, middle is a bit too busy. End is very cool. James' voice is sounding great.

Would you be guranteed to get tickets through mission metallica, or would you be at the mercy of the online ticket queue system??

Im very interested in this, never seen metallica live either and this greatly bothers me as no band will be around forever, I deeply regret never getting to see Pantera live.

Excellent to see lots of 'tallica fans on BCF Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Saw Pantera at the Manchester Apollo, I stood in front of Dimebag all night and moshed my soul out! Best gig of my life... One of my mates managed to get one of Dime's picks, it's Pantera printed on one side. He's still got it framed!!

I'd say the chances of getting tickets are pretty good. Thumbs Up
If you've never seen them play then go for it, ive been a fan for years and seen them countless times (ive even been lucky enough to meet them a couple of times) and every time i see them play they are awesome.
Last year at wembley was especially good, they were absolutley on fire Cool Thumbs Up

Take the silly money. I love Metallica but the new stuff sounds as sh1t as St. Anger. There's 2 tracks on their myspace page. (A live track and a maiden cover?) Confused I'm pleased I saw them twice when I did back on the black album tour. Just to rub salt in the wounds for the other fella I've seen Pantera twice aswell. Laughing Once on the cowboys tour and once on the Vulgar tour.

Ok guys you can stop torturing me now, I already cry myself to sleep every night, I dont need your tales of how great the Pantera gigs jacking up my valium dosage.

Tbh the rarely play anything newer than Black while on tour and if they do it's usually one of the first three tracks from Reload (Fuel, Memory Remains and Devils Dance)

Here is the set list from a gig 4 days ago which is very typical of what they normally play:

Creeping Death
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Ride The Lightning
The Memory Remains
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Cyanide
...And Justice For All
No Remorse
Fade To Black
Master Of Puppets
Whiplash
Nothing Else Matters
Sad But True
One
Enter Sandman
- - - - -
Last Caress
So What
Seek And Destroy

With the exception of Cyanide (Which I personally like better than the single) it's all classic stuff. Nothing off St Anger or Load.

Only 2 days to go and I'm getting fired up Very Happy

Seeing 'One' live is worth the ticket price alone.....

(Did you know the green light that Hetfield stands in at the start, is actually known as Metallica Green?)

There's not much thats great in MK, but the bowl is an ace open air live venue!

Keep me posted, Ill hold back from the mission metallica route until more info is distributed, right now im in a real gig mood, hoping to see trivium/slayer at NEC end of october, An up and coming band called August Burns Red at the Academy in November and Slipknot/Machine head at NIA in December. As I said earlier, never had the honour of attending a 'tallica gig, and they only show their faces every 4 years or so (if that!) so really want to get a look iin this time.

Out of interest, anyone play guitar here?? (didnt realise they were so many metalheads on BCF!)
