... made (another) myself today, rode away with my chain/padlock through the rear wheel, comparible to riding off with a disc lock (good job I don't have one!) luckily the chain didn't foul the swingarm/sprocket/caliper and was going round in the middle, so no damage, felt like a twat though taking it off on the otherside of the road Laughing

Done it with a disc lock on before, wasnt riding off but moving my bike. Took a chunk out my fender!

Done it several times. Sucks doesn't it. It's worst with a chain than a disk lock because it gets wrapped around the chain guard/swing arm.

I did it outside my old work after a job interview once. Right outside the reception window. Not my greatest moment.

A lad at school a few years back had just had a new scooter and started it up showing a few people. He revved it up on the stand and wrapped the chain round the swingarm/belt cover. Had to let all the air out the tyre to get it back out lol.

one of my dads m8s many years ago chained his bike to a lampost out side the pub stayed in there for a good few hours..long enough to forget..broke his hip and his legs pulling off Laughing
