Hello,

After a recent accident (not my fault!), I have been left with a Cat B bike.

I'm planning on stripping it of anything sellable and decided to start with the engine.

The ignition barrel was snapped off in the crash, a quick glance at the wiring diagram and joined together the three ignition wires and the indicators work etc.
I've put the bike in neutral, tried to start the engine and the starter motor does not do anything, I just get a rapid clicking from the fuel pump.
It's fitted with a System 3, I'm not sure if that is the reason it won't start.
The instrument panel was ripped from the loom too if that makes a difference.

Can anyone recommend what to try next to get the engine started?

Thanks

Try shorting out the starter solenoid.
Loads of options.
Is it possible the kill switch is stuck in the off position?
Maybe the neutral / clutch / sidestand circuit is causing the safety circuit to stay on?
