what part of south end? i have never been there on a bike and have no iea how to get there. my friend has just bought a cbr 125 and is pretty good with road directions. if you know the post code or the area, i can get a good google mapping. south end seems big on the map atm.

also is it hard to get there from hackney, london on l plates? meaning no motorways. we both really want to go and have a big ride.

Its easy..its straight down the A13 or A127. No motorways involved. Once you reach near there..you'll see signs for the sea-front anyways.

I see you there? Thumbs Up

Go to google maps and check out Marine Parade in Southend. I'm guessing people will be stopping along the whole seafront so you won't be a lone biker!!
Hope that helps but I'm not one for navigation.....so thats as much as I can give you.

Time wise......I duno either, i'll probably be there between 1200-1300. I'm going to a bbq...so I wont be there for long.

okay so it works out to about 32 miles give or take. i shall ask my friend about it. 1 hour journey may be quite hard since he has only had his cbr 125 for about 2 weeks max. his arms and legs will get cained lol. he's done about 650 miles though which is quite a lot for 2 weeks i feel.

maybe i'll see some of you there. if we are going then i'll be on my 2005 black/red rs 125 and he'll be on black 2008 cbr 125.

he's been nagging me to go ace cafe but i told him it's for big bikers so no point for us. this should be good for him.

If it's anything like any other bike meet at Southend you'll find a constant stream of bikes long before you get to the seafront.

Just follow them.

If you want to go to the Ace, go! It has all sorts of bikes turning up there and its very unlikely you will get people looking down on you. I quite like seeing small bikes turn up, reminds me of the fun I had on them, a long time ago!

JUST WATCH OUT FOR COPPERS!THEY ARE ON TO US! Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad Thumbs Up

Seeing that it's the height of summer, any sunny weather and they'll be out in force, so just a heads up to anybody - particularly those near nice roads. They're at the villages and also at the straights on long stretches of straight NSL! I found out to my demise yesterday!

hey bud. i know you've been encouraging me to go to ace and not be paranoid in the south east threads :p

i might go within this month. me and my friend, the one that wants to go, work at the same independant opticians but different branches. luckily our day off during the week is thurs and we plan to go riding pretty much every week if we can (hopefully we don't get bored etc) we have been training the other 2 lads who have just got their cbr 125's. after just us two went to a local total and soaped up, jet washed and waxed our bikes.

Nah, i deserved what i got though, 44 in a 30 zone - 3 points and 60 quid, but yeah, just warning that the po will be positioned strategically so keep aware where speed limits change.

Hmm tempting, very very tempting... and I'm just down the road in Rayleigh at the moment, which makes it even more tempting... Nobody to go with though. Sad
