Get found out when you find yourself in a problematic situation, and have your insurance revoked with no refund for non-disclosure. Then have an unspecified amount of cash to try and pay out to the other party, court case because you've technically been riding without insurance, which is illegal. Aswell as the possibility of having your bike impounded for the above offence.

eBike offer a "Pay Monthly" policy, which is effectively pay as you go. Its designed for riders who only ride during the summer months mainly, and as a result, they offer 1yrs no claims every 8 months that the policy is run for. Its not overly expensive realy, but you do pay more over a 12 month period for the privelage.

Anyone know if this works..
Pay for the whole policy say 400 quid policy and pay it off, sell the bike. and just blag the insurance your still riding it? or not?

I seem to have accumulated 1 years no claims however i shouldnt have until november. unsure how but thats what bennetts have put on my policy!

For what it's worth my experience:

First bike bought July 07 insured for 12 months
Second bike bought March 08 insured for 12 months
August 08 - first bike added to second bike policy with one years NCB counted (additonal premium of £45).
Insurers have told me that in March 09 I'll have two years NCB (assuming no claims of course).

=> I'll get 2 years NCB in a period of 15 months, but on two bikes.

NCB is therefore accumulated per policy which I wasn't aware of - I'd always assumed it was accumulated by the year.
