Are there any rules to nodding to other bikers, I nod to everyone unless they are on mopeds or scooters. Is there a rule where you dont nod to people with L plates or not?

Thanks

Search for 'nod' or 'nodding'...

Done to death.

As are the weekly threads where we tell the n00b starting it, that it has been done to death.

I like the way you consider yourself a 'superior' nodder when you ride a Jialing JH125 Laughing

But what about scooters? You mentioned them aswell. Is your chinky 125 greater than a Burger 400?

No, not at all. I just wanted to know if people nodded to L platers and what thier opinion is on it.

If rossi was riding a scooter I would seriously ask myself some questions. He probably drives a car around anyway. lmao!

Well i do believe you are getting a poor education and if not you've had a poor one anyway.

Infact i presume you've worn rockports or nike airs at some point Wink

Anyway to answer your question, nodding is a sign of respect for another motorcyclist. I'll nod at anyone if i feel they deserve it such as if theyre wearing the correct gear, however someone wearing a t shirt and shorts gets bugger all Thumbs Up

Learners deserve as much respect as anyone in my opinion as we were once in their position and if anything this is the hardest time in their motorcycling career so they deserve it all the more.

Actually im not a loser that rides around town centres with a loud exhaust nor do I wear rockports or Nikes. I love bikes and use mine for genuine commuting and travel. I love the experince and would dread driving a car. I nod to everyone I think would appreciate it as im new and anyone on a bigger bike has more than likely been riding for longer than me(2 yrs on 49cc!)

And just for you im wearing K-Swiss tennis shoes as they are comfy! lol

GEAR NAZI ALERT!!!

I've ridden the CBR in t shirt and shorts before, so fucking what?

I've made my feelings known in most of the recent nodding threads, so no need to repeat myself.

But jesus christ, all these conditions some people seem to attach to the nod! I can imagine you all going through the list as you approach another bike, before nodding:

'Wearing correct protective clothing - check.
But not too poweranger-y - check
Not riding a ped - check.
Not riding a Harley - check.
Not riding a Ducati - check.'

'Ok, nod has been approved for deployment...oh fuck they've already gone past. And there's a tree..ohhhh shit...'

a 16 year old on a moped who has a passion for riding and is on the only bike he can get does not deserve a nod? i did"t realize it was all about the bike

Time line:

16-moped-nods to all
17-125- no more nods to mopeds
21-R6-only nods to other 600"s and all above
23-R1-fuck you all i have the best-no more time for nodding Laughing

Generally if they look like a cock i have no time for them.

Simple really. And i do actually believe a good rider wheres appropriate gear, but i know that isnt necceserily a shared opinion Wink

Shame. Did you ride in the county?

I must say I was really chuffed that on my old GP100 most bikers would nod.

I imagine many feel mopeds and scooters are not “real” bikes in the same way. Most mopeds are used in town which is a very different thing to an open county road where you can just let go and enjoy the ride.

I did use to ride on “bikers” roads so it helped. Around town it was different.

What a bunch of cunts you lot are.

Just nod to scooters and get your heads out of your shitpits. Ohhh.... I'm not going to nod to a moped, cos I'm so COOL, and BIG and MIGHTY on my GIxxer. Owwww, I can't nod, in case the BIG KIDS see me and think I'm so uncewl meddlin' with the moped brigade.

Grow up. Cunts.
