no reason it shouldnt as long as you maintain it properly. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. I used a NC30 as an every day bike for 8 months. It was very capable and fun to ride. I could get a chain under the seat for leaving it locked up and bike kept me entertained as well as getting me to work.
It's not the most practical for some every day jobs ie: you're doing your shopping etc
comfort depends on your size... I could cope with mine for about two hours then I needed a break. Most I ever did was 250 miles and I was pretty stiff after. ____________________ Current Bikes - Kawasaki ZX-6R (636) | BMW G650GS |

I find it a wee bike and i'm only 5'9"
Its only for blatting up and down to work on, I have a car for everyday shopping, passengers etc.
Just out of curiosity, since i've only had the bike a few months and i intend to give ita belly rub before it goes into full service, do you know what needs doing service wise at 20k miles? |
oil/filter change? check valve clearances?
other than that, you dont need to do anything really, ever. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. i wouldnt recomend a strangely configured, up to 20 year old 400 for doing up to 100 miles a day. Dont get me wrong they have a fairly good reliability record but quality parts and the strange parts they use (tiny sparks, rotten rads etc etc) are now becoming increasingly expensive to get. I would probably go for a more run of the mill bandit, hornet, sv style bike these days. ____________________ Current : '08 Yamaha FZ1s

i would rarely travel within 20 mile radius on my NC 35 even though I kept a full set of tools, wire-connectors, cable-ties etc as it was so unreliable |

I used to go to college down in leamington from Leicester (bout 35miles or so) on an NC30 about 3 yrs ago. As long as you're comfortable with it and you keep on top of the electrics over the winter it should be fine.
And just so you know, i'm 6'5" and it felt fairly comfortable
In fact i think that NC30's just been bought by one of my old mates... ____________________ A quater of a NC30 and a whole tatty ZX6R J2, that's plenty...
