Or here`s another idea..... use half the money to pass your test instead and bank the rest for now.There`s a much wider (and better) choice of bikes available with a full licence.
The appeal of a 125 doesn`t last all that long once you`ve actually got one and ridden it for a few months....and 1k bikes usually involve a fair bit of ongoing expense and repairs so don`t forget that.

i got my nsr for a grand

2003 model the last in production and its only done 7000 miles, fully de-rezzed as well Very Happy

Might I recomend waiting until another NSR becomes available on the second hand market, considering you were so close to buying one first time round?
