Hi

Not tried those ones. However the only foam ones I have tried and got on with are these :-

https://www.howardleight.com/family/index/4

(I have some with the cords, and the cords are a bit of a pain for me).

Might be worth seeing if you can get a few samples to try.

All the best

Keith

Not sure I like the idea of the stalk in there. I seem to have fairly small inner ears and have not got on with most of the foam ones (hence I use some molded ones most of the time). However I have a fair few of the rubarb and custard coloured ones (won in a raffle) and find that these do work very well. Quieter than the molded ones and don't fall out like the other foam ones I have tried. Down side is that they take a fair while to expand up in size and fit.

All the best

Keith

Tried $hit loads over the years and now settled with these below.

Everyone's ears are different and some plugs will fit others wont.

I tried the quiet ones in the link at the top and thought they were really uncomfortable. I think the ones Keith posted came out near the top in a magazine test in my room. I will check later.

Interestingly they list the Max as the highest SNR rated single use plug at 37, but the E.A.R Earsoft FX plugs are SNR rated at 39

Its all personal choice with ear plugs, what suites one person, doesn't another.

It took me a while to find my favourite.

I'd personal suggest a sample pack from ebay.

I use the Max Lite and the Laser Lite ones and they are both very good (for me anyway). They are also good for sleeping after a night shift or sleeping at festivals - apparently there was a riot 10yds away from my tent in 2005 and I slept through it with a pair of Max Lites in Embarassed

Manged to convince my mum and ex gf they were actually rhubarb and custard sweets. They didn't like the taste. Laughing (Yes they were clean).

i use these, originally they were corded but my latest batch have been cordless. (cord just snaps off anyway)

https://www.howardleight.com/images/media/0000/0035/quiet_corded_medium.jpg

only problem i have is my left ear is slightly larger so often i find its not a great fit and as much noise gets through as if i wasn't wearing them.

but at £1 for 50 pairs i don't complain.[/img]

I got some of the ones that Ewan used, moulded to my ear at the NEC, at £60 expensive and also i noticed that when I tilt my head back the pressure in my ears is unbearable!

So probably wouldn't buy them again tbh,

The guy even said my ears are tiny inside and he might not be able to make them, but he did it anyway

I got a pair of washable ones from Hein Gericke, they were £15 I think, but they're very very good. They let some noise in, so you can still hear some speech, and zips etc. But they cut out the harmful stuff.

They come in a red leather case, and have 2 different noise things to change the amount they let in.

Well worth the money, I'm on my second pair now because I lost one Sad

My vote goes to Earsoft FX. Great plugs and a good price here at under 9p a pair. My box of 200 is still going strong.

And don't forget that a quick lick helps insertion (fnar fnar).

Earplugs is earplugs, for heaven's sake. As long as you ain't stuffing balls of shredded tissue in your ears, you'll be fine. The first set you find in mothercare/boots/etc will be fine. Stick 'em in your ears, and get on with your day.

Nope, at least not for me. Pretty much all the foam ones I have tried have worked at best for about half an hour before becoming dislodged.

All the best
