well hey there just like to say ime new to these forums
sooo recently i bought an old run down suzuki rg125 gamma 1991 model and it was a beast ( after an engine re-build) topped out at 105mph but it got nicked ! ... few years ago there was the fastest 125cc bike in our area also a rg125 1991 model , and i knew a lad who owned the fastest 50cc ( aprillia af150 ) sooo my brain started working an thought if i use take the aprilias looks and ligh-weight frame and take the suzuki's speedy engine what would happen ? so i decided to, bought the lad's aprilia and got rid of the 50cc moter and adapted the frame to fit my rg 125 in ( 125motor has a 150 kit on , racing reads, micron pipe..... etc ) fabricated gear linkage and rear brake. so hears what i have managed to do so far ....

That is really cool, good luck. You may need to inprove the suspention and brakes, Try to get hold of a USD RS125/250 front end you could even use something like a RGV 250, if you get the 250 front end you will have twin discs too.

Interesting read i had intended sticking my spare ar125 engine in my 50 frame but after discovering that the 50 frame has a tendancey to crack under the 50s sheer power Laughing i was a tad reluctant, mine wasnt the only one id heard of aswell.
Saying that the running gear on the af150's was pretty good for its time and the brake wasnt to shabby when bled up properly Wink .

yeah that was one of the downsindes of having the frame white Sad but i supose i can sacrafice it as i think it looks great white.
urmm only been fiddling on with bikes for a few years, i'm only 17. this is my 1st 'big' project had a bandit 600 before this and stuff like honda cb250 and a very old kx80 that was a nightmare. hmm yeah i shall try out crystal glow, so its just like a protective film that coats the frame ?

Crystal Glo is great, my boss calls is miracle juice Laughing

It's £10 for a small bottle but you barely use any so it will last you ages, I work at a dealership and the kid that polishes the bikes gets through a bottle a fortnight. Basically it's a polish that acts as a protective coat, and the more you do it over time, the thicker the coat gets until it's like a dirt-proof laquer coat Thumbs Up
