Does anyone have any recommendations? I want to spend as little as possible really, but how much would I be looking at to get 'watchable' footage?

Thanks Smile

Could try using your phone if it's got a camera and if it's good quality?

I didn't actually think about that, but unfortunately I've got an iPhone (i.e. no video) Sad

Meant to say that all you do is set it running then take out the SD card and pop it into you pc to get the footage instantly.

I used this type of camera once as I have one lying around...

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=150288742441&Category=11724&_trksid=p3907.m29

Quality wasn't brilliant. FPS was like 15 and sound was terrible.

That would have been what I was going to suggest. They give OK footage, but they are quite chunky and so I would be wary of using it on the road to do silly things with. The police could seize it and you'd be up the proverbial creek without a paddle or a canoe.

If you're careful and/or disguise it, you'll probably be OK.

How come? is it illegal to film yourself ride?
Unless they actually see you riding dangerously, I thought some homemade footage was not enough to press charges

What I think dangerous riding is, and what the police think are pretty seperate. They can do you for virtually anything they see on the camera, probably including filtering. The beauty part for them is that any magistrate worth his salt will agree.

So unless you ride like a granny it can be very dangerous. If you do ride like a granny, then what is the point of filming it?

I didn't think the ATC2K was bad, it's compact and easy to mount, shock and waterproof, self contained, and £80. OK the quality isn't DVD but it's perfectly watchable.

Yeh the video is watchable, thanks. What is that high pitched noise though?
