Anyone recommend anything to give leather a good clean? Other than rain water Razz My sidis are looking mighty filthy (not cleaned them for over a year) with all the white bits on them now turned brown. Cheers.

Dammit, I wanted to say rain! Smile

I am going to suggest drycleaning if they have gone that far. A good drycleaner will bring them back like new, extending their life - not to mention making the inside less noisome. Thumbs Up

I use Nikwax, but my leathers are all black, don't know whether it'll clean up your white bits Laughing

One problem is that it properly stinks like piss Sick

While i'm new to biking, i've been in to leather for a good few years*

new rock boot polish! I can't find anywhere that sells it online but every other shop in camden sells it. Just give your boots a good scrub with very slightly soapy water and then cover em with the boot polish, leave it there for half an hour and rub it off. I've done it to plenty of boots, a couple of leather jackets and even a pair of sofas!

*no not leather thongs! Shocked

Not to mention a high price of about £150, well that is what our place charges for motorcycle leathers.

You should be able to improve them hugely by rubbing with a cloth dunked in water + washing up liquid.
Try to avoid soaking too much, but damp them to soak the dirt then have another go minutes later.
When dried off it would be good to give some sort of leather conditioning treatment e.g. nikwax to maintain waterproofness so far as possible.
