I was a total idiot a few nights ago with a lass i was seeing for a a few weeks.

No condom and of course i went ahead anyway.

More worried about STI's than if i got her pregnant. Tbh im shitting myself over HIV atm, im a cronic worrier.

I keep meaning to get myself tested (I don't have any symptoms or anything, I'm just paranoid) but I don't fancy a golf umbrella down the bellend...

I've been tested. Its not that bad really. Slight discomfort rather than pain

Its worth getting tested for peace of mind.

Its also worth getting a steady girlfriend who you can trust not to forget to take the pill accidentally on purpose. Although whether you should ever trust someone that much is another matter.

It's very hard for a bloke to catch HIV from a woman unless blood/open sores are involved in which case you've probably caught something else as well.

No condoms are shit, they do break easily, but it's ok for most people as they can hold up well for about 5minutes

I had a test once, just a routine thing, as said, condoms aren't 100% safe. It was not an umbrella thing at all, it's like a cotton wool bud, but it does hurt, and it hurts even more when you go for a piss for the rest of the day, but you need to go. Oh and it was a bloke who did but there was a woman just standing there watching Just remember HIV has a delay of about 3months I think when it comes to showing up in tests, I somehow doubt you have it though

I still think that the 70% times they do work makes them worth using, especially as there's no safe alternative to prevent STD's which, let's face it, can be pretty grim

Not much point in worrying - it's done now! Get yourself along to your local clinic and be tested for the nasty STD's you could've picked up and they'll chat with you about the HIV risk.

Hopefully, the little pain and inconvenience of the clinic trip will be enough to stop you forgetting in the future!

Even though I was 99% sure I was clear, there is something horrible about waiting in the reception to be called through, you start reading through the HIV booklets and thinking what the hell would I do if they came back positive. Not a nice experience really. I was told that not only HIV, but herpes can also take 3+ months to develop, beings as though its a virus that has sneaky ways of avoiding the immune system and thus lays dormant.

As for condoms, yep, they used to break all the time. I;ve been with my girlfriend near enough ayear now and she;s on the pill so done away with all that nonsense

Must admit the past 3 one nights stands i've had i've been an idiot No condom, just them telling me there on the pill.

Problem is i have this habit of splitting condoms very easily. Before anyone says anything, yes i am putting them on right.

As for STD's i get slightly worried but not as concerned as i should be, can't say i'm even that worried about getting them preganant.

Latest womans been sterelised so all is good in terms of pregnancy. I should still wear a condom tho to protect against other nasties!

Am i an idiot? Completley! I always wake up in the morning thinking 'Shit i should have worn something'. I seriously don't want knob rot!!

The problem is a lot are incurable, so it's no good worrying about it afterwards and keep on doing it. And if you're shagging one night stands who's idea of protection is "it's ok i'm on the pill" how many other blokes that week/month/year did the same to her.

I had a test (took up an offer of one when I went about something else), they asked where the people Ive been with are from n when I said UK (white), American (white) and Aussie (white). Thye said the chances are remote . . we would only worry if you had said black African!

Its just a blood test. When your pregnant you get tested anyway. So, I have had two tests.
