Who, about a week and a half ago was knocked off of his SP1 by a driver who fled the scene of the accident shortly after getting out of his car and making sure he was still alive, and then turning himself into the police the next day.

He's definitely decided he's not riding on the road again, but plans to get back on the track. He's pinned in a few places at the moment, did a fantastic job of demolishing a lamppost and a utility box apparently.

Went to see him in hospital today and he was his usual cheery self... I'd just like to dedicate this thread to Carl and wish him a speedy recovery. Carl, you are a true scouse legend Thumbs Up Very Happy

All the best matey!

Have to give a small amount of Kudos to the guy that hit him though, at least he turned himself in the next day. Bet most people wouldent do that.

He was probably pissed, that's why he left the scene and then went to the station the next day.

why? , he left the scene = crime

Thus he probably was drunk or high on something ,

Infact all he is doing is covering HIMSELF from a minor chance of being caught later,

Should try to do him for leaving the scene of an accident 3-6 points,

As said very few people are honourable,

The driver was obviously a total tit, but at least he made the effort to see if the mysterious Carl was alive - you'd hope that if he was in serious need the driver would've stayed around to help out. It shows a little bit of humanity that can often be found lacking in many such incidents.

Best regards to your mate Toby, been there, done that - didn't enjoy it a single bit. Fair fucks to him for taking some street furniture with him - going out in a blaze of glory, Si....Hetzer would be proud!

Yeah a lamp post and one of those phone control boxes... They also had to cut some railings off of the pavement to move his bike it was that embedded in it...

Talk about a smash

I had a friend that got out after two years. He will need your help and help from his other friends.Get to know his family and friends so you all can figure out how best to help him.
It may be more than body damage so friends are needed to repair the head.Even just to be there to talk to can help a lot when things get rough.
Stick by him Toby.

Paddy.

I'm afraid so, he was quite badly injured, luckily he's hard as f**king nails, I'm sure it would've killed anyone else to be honest.
