Anyone ever preordered anything from play.com.

I was looking to preorder Fable 2 (of course) and I was wondering if they were any good at getting it to you in any sort of reasonable time after the release.

Anyone have any experience of their service?

I've preordered DVDs from Play, they've been delivered the day before or the actual day of release. Thumbs Up

Family member pre-ordered Wii Fit.

Never showed up on release date, and they never contacted to say when/if it would be with them - ended up getting it in Woolworths without hassle.

Previous done DVDS/CDs without a problem.

I guess as long as it isn't in huge demand/short stock then you'll have no problems.

I pre-ordered spore, only in the sense that i ordered it 2 days before it's release. Got the confirmation of postage on the day of the release, was here in 2 days. Wish i could send it back though, waste of money that was.

I have pre-ordered a lot of stuff from Play and it has always arrived either on release day or occasionally the day before. Thumbs Up

Yea as did i. But the first few stages are over very quickly then the proper game element can begin, the space stage. Which is a dissapointment. Comparing this game play to galactic civ or even sins of a solar empire its very lacking. The AI is pretty bad too. Conquring other planets is as simple as flying around in a circle dropping bombs and watching their missles miss you. No challenege to this part, its just boring and repetitive.

I don't get much joy out of decorating houses and such, so the maxis default's got used all the time. This is probably the game's strong point, so if you liked decorating your sims house, chances are you will like this side of the game.

If anyone wants to buy it off me (if you even can with the amount of drm on it) drop me a line.
