 |
|
So, I know its been done to death, but will someone pleaaase help me?
I've been out on the NSR trying to wheelie myself around. Managing to get a good jump but I almost killed myself Was cruisin on the back end and, stupidly, wasn't able to keep the front straight. Went all over the place but luckily - God is my saviour - I regained control Any ideas on how to keep myself out of hospital while trying to wheelie??
By the way, took a short movie of my attempt, how do I post it so you guys can have a look and tell me what an idiot I am? |

Have a look in the FAQ forum (or possibly the submissions forum) for a guide by Zim as to how to do it. |

Go and find the article yourself. I've even told you where to find it.
My words of advice would basically be to practise, practise and then practise some more. |

Keep trying and you'll get it right sooner or later, or you'll fall off and smash your fairings.
Just follow the FAQ and you shouldn't have too much (more) trouble. ____________________ Current bike: VTR1000F Firestorm. Previous: Firestorm (written off) - XJ600 Divvy - NSR125 - DT125 and a load of offroaders. |

You should be wearing leathers and boots young man!
There is a difference between normal riding and stunts as far as safety goes IMO. Stunts are a self induced method of crashing and so I think that a bit more protection might be required before you try again! Especially if you aren't so lucky next time!
If I were you, the minimum protective clothing I would be wearing on a 125 on the road anyway would be leather jacket, proper motorcycle gloves, boots (minimum of combat style heavy duty boots) and helmet obviously, and jeans NOT tracksuit bottoms.
For stunts I would recommend 2 piece zip together leathers as an addition to the above. Seriously. Watch G's meh.mpeg video again and tell me he would have jumped up if he was wearing the clothes you were wearing...
I don't want to sound preachy but somebody had to scare me into buying boots and gloves, so maybe you need the same.
Gloves are actually very important because your hands are often the first thing to go down in a crash.
Please don't take this the wrong way

so make sure you are dressed for the occassion ____________________ "CHANCE FAVOURS THE PREPARED ONE" |

In all fairness I was wearing a fully padded motorcycle jacket and a helmet........hmmmm, something's missing Ah, of course, my boots and gloves I' know I'm an idiot but I was caught up in the moment STUNTMAN
I'll go get some more kit this weekend as I haven't actually got any bottoms besides my own jeans. I guess a pair of summer gloves might be useful too - got all sweaty wearing my thick padded gloves |

Thanks guys. I'm going to wait a bit before trying again as the sad news about David G (R.I.P) brought home the stupidity of stunting without full gear. Hopefully I'll be trying to get some today - Sunday - although shops may be closed |
